12/13 Fronts in US Global Peace War, part 1

Stratfor, major U.S. intel group explains "presidents irrelevance"
Obama's Foreign Policy: The End of the Beginning
...the single most remarkable thing about Obama’s foreign policy is how consistent it is with the policies of former President George W. Bush. This is not surprising. Presidents operate in the world of constraints; their options are limited . Still, it is worth pausing to note how little Obama has deviated from the Bush foreign policy...This is not a criticism of Obama....He ran for president as the antithesis of Bush. He has conducted his foreign policy as if he were Bush. This is because Bush’s foreign policy was shaped by necessity, and Obama’s foreign policy is shaped by the same necessity

Obama, amerika's last hope supermangod, borrowed yet another page from US supported nazi capitalist fascism: wrapping US capitalism's unprecedented crimes in a 'humanitarian' flag of freedom, slandering and slaughtering for peace all who refuse US domination, aka "terrorist" evil-doers, with breathtaking 'big lies' declaring #1 state terrorist world destroyer its savior. Fellow gangsters and beneficiaries applaud their frontman's daring demagogy. As the world dominator loses its grip, desperate against further defeat and decline, 'eloquent' US threats deepen and hasten its doom involving ever wider 'audience' participation.

Amerikan propaganda's target audience is not the vast sections of the world who live the experience of imperialist-zionist truth 'on the ground', they are not conned by lies masking bogus "terrorist" and genocidal false flag operations. US imperialism arrogantly counts on its Obama-style 'friendly face of fascism'. No doubt his performances reach new depths of depravity to prepare for further crimes against humanity: from Egypt, West Point, Brookings, to Copenhagen, expounding racist national chauvinism with a visionary gaze, daring to tell the world oit is destroying that the U.S. does not invade sovereign nations, does not occupy nor dominate them, that its expanding imperialist global war will prevail in the hands of Obama's well-groomed criminal administration as a "just war" for peace. What quintessential proof of US capitalism's supremely vile nature, its total contempt for 95% of humanity - and the urgent necessity for the world to finally remove this menace from history's map.

Mind-fucking lies do not change or trump reality, do not deceive the countless millions already liberated from their lives, countless more millions fighting to save their lives, nations and continents from liberation and 'good governance' by the U.S and its puppet governments. Countless millions more worldwide know and despise this fascist amerikan beast, spit in its filthy face and pledge solidarity with all who dare resist the USRAEL & co. genocidal juggernaut for global supremacy. Worldwide we are committed in the struggle to liberate the planet from the barbarian imperialist-zionist tyranny of words & deeds.

Mercenaries and assassins: The real face of Obama’s “good war”
By Bill Van Auken
December 12, 2009 - Reports that mercenaries employed by the notorious Blackwater-Xe military contracting firm participated in CIA assassinations in Iraq and Afghanistan have further exposed the real character of so-called "good war" that is being escalated by the Obama administration. Citing former employees of the firm and US intelligence agents, the New York Times reported Friday that Blackwater gunmen, ostensibly contracted as security gu ards, "participated in some of the CIA’s most sensitive activities—clandestine raids with agency officers against people suspected of being insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan and the transporting of detainees."...

In 1976, President Gerald Ford issued an executive order barring the CIA from directly carrying out assassinations..[it] followed a wave of public outrage over revelations of CIA assassination plots around the globe that earned the agency the epithet "Murder, Inc. In 2001, President George W. Bush overturned Ford’s ruling, issuing his own intelligence finding that such restrictions no longer applied in the "global war on terrorism." The Democrats offered no objections, and the media has treated it entirely as a matter of course, while blacking out any serious reporting on the resulting carnage and victims.

As with every other essential question, President Barack Obama has adopted Bush’s "Targeted assassinations," extraordinary rendition, the use of mercenaries, all of the sordid crimes... continue... to be unleashed with redoubled force against the peoples of Afghanistan and Pakistan as Obama oversees new war crimes.... death squad violence utilized by American imperialism from El Salvador to Iraq can be brought home. Indeed, Blackwater has already deployed its highly trained killers in domestic operations. In 2005, hundreds of the company’s mercenaries carrying automatic weapons were sent into the streets of Katrina-stricken New Orleans. The use of these elements comes together with the continuation of domestic spying and the implementation of a system of “preventive detention” allowing the indefinite imprisonment of enemies of the state without charges or trials. The scaffolding of dictatorship has been erected in the US. This trend continues unabated under the Obama administration dictated by class interests and the nature of the crisis confronting US and world capitalism.

“...the civilized nations have driven themselves into the position of barbarians..."
“Monopoly, oligarchy, the striving for domination and not for freedom, the exploitation of an increasing number of small and weak nations by a handful of the richest or most powerful nations – all these have given rise to those distinctive characteristics of imperialism which compel us to define it as parasitic or decaying capitalism. … It would be a mistake to believe that this tendency to decay precludes the rapid growth of capitalism. It does not. In the epoch of imperialism, certain branches of industry, certain strata of bourgeoisie and certain countries betray… now one and now another of these tendencies. On the whole, capitalism is growing far more rapidly than before: but this growth is not only becoming more and more uneven in general, its unevenness also manifests itself, in particular, in the decay of the countries which are richest in capital..The export of capital, one of the most essential economic bases of imperialism, still more completely isolates the coupon-clipping
rentiers from production and sets the seal of parasitism on the whole country that lives by exploiting the labour of overseas countries and colonies...."
Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism, VI Lenin, 1916

Black Agenda Report heartily endorses this Saturday’s Emergency Anti-Escalation Rally [1] in front of the White House. Having said that, we turn to the subject of the legions of Obama-smitten activists that abandoned confrontation with Power for the past several years, for fear of harming their hero’s presidential prospects. How wrong they were, as subsequent events have shown.

Will the Last “Progressive for Obama” Please Turn Out the Lights
by BAR executive editor Glen Ford
“It should now be clear to even the most dense among self-styled ‘progressives’ that Obama was never worth a damn.”
The U.S. peace “movement,” much of which “comes and goes” as often as Boy George’s “Karma Chameleon,” has finally discovered that its presumed perch in Barack Obama’s tree was untenable, if not wholly imaginary. To be sure, “Progressives for Obama” and other assorted delusional groupings were always squatters in the Obama camp – but they were the only ones who didn’t know it. How embarrassing it would have been, back during the campaign, had the lost little lefties realized that Obama’s imperial soul mates were laughing at them from a disdainful distance, knowing full well the path their bought-and-paid-for president would soon be traveling. How would the Obama peacenik groupies have preserved their sense of self-worth – much less their arrogant smugness – had they realized the absolute contempt in which they were held by their hero’s funders and packagers – and no doubt by the Object of Adulation, himself?
With the president’s hearty embrace on December 1 [2] of not only current U.S. aggressions in South Asia but the entirety of the glorious rise of U.S. global hegemony since the end of World War Two, it should now be clear to even the most dense among self-styled “progressives” that Obama was never worth a damn. To Obama, the world-terrorizing nuclear arms race against the Soviets, the savage assaults on countries emerging from colonialism, the death of millions in the quest to make the world safe for corporations, the spread of the global drug trade under management of U.S. intelligence services – all this can be summed up as: “The United States of America has underwritten global security for over six decades, a time that, for all its problems, has seen walls come down, markets open, billions lifted from poverty, unparalleled scientific progress, and advancing frontiers of human liberty.”

Obama lives and breathes American Manifest Destiny – which means, as a non-white person, he is profoundly mentally unbalanced. But any lefty worth her/his salt should have known that. Obama’s yearly talks to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs [3], the regional equivalent of the Council on Foreign Affairs, were models of imperial-speak, totally consistent with his West Point performance. Beginning years ago, he repeatedly declared that, as president, he would draw a line in the sands (or mountains) of Afghanistan – which is something only militarist, imperialist pigs draw in other people’s countries. He warned everyone that, under the Bin-Ladin-Might-Be-There Doctrine, he would refuse to respect the sovereignty of Pakistan. And he has ceaselessly lied about his actions and intentions in Iraq – a key qualification for the job of imperial U.S. president.

Still, there seems to be a soggy cloud hanging over some self-styled anti-war circles, as if Obama’s most recent display of rabid war mongering, American Manifest Destiny-ism was a tragedy for and betrayal of the “movement.” And I suppose that those confused souls who believed that they were doing “movement” work while engaged in Obama groupy-ism for the last several years, might feel that some kind of tragedy had occurred. And they might be right, in that the absence of an anti-war movement during the campaign years undoubtedly encouraged Obama in his warlike proclivities. As a result, hundreds of thousands will undoubtedly die, because American “progressives” forsook their duty to humanity for reasons no more defensible than those a teenage girl would give for following a shallow but “hot” celebrity around from city to city.

Let’s make it plain: Obama didn’t do anything to the “movement.” Most especially, he did not fool anyone in the “movement.” Rather, people who claimed to be in the “movement” fooled themselves and then proceeded to fool lots of other people into thinking that Obama-work was “movement”-work – when events have shown it was the opposite.
“The absence of an anti-war movement during the campaign years undoubtedly encouraged Obama in his warlike proclivities.”
A huge number of “movement” notables should be deeply humbled and, to varying degrees, ashamed at their lemming-like susceptibility to Obama’s…what? The two-year near-silence in the anti-war “movement” is proof, not of Obama’s Svengali-like powers (his imperialism is actually quite transparent), but of profound weaknesses in the “movement,” itself (which is why I’ve been putting the term in quotes). I have a hunch that the worst of the paralyzing Obama-effect on “movement” politics is finally over – due mainly to Obama’s insistence on remaining true to the logic of imperialism and refusal to toss his groupies on the Left a straw to cling to, any further.

There is no need to name-the-names of the politically prodigal ones, many of whom are returning to some kind of oppositional activism now that their erstwhile idol is in full-spectrum war mode. Far better to quote Cynthia McKinney, the former Georgia congresswoman and Green Party presidential candidate, whose engagement with struggle is a constant:
“We have now reached the point where those who make and interpret current events think they can make us believe that war is for peace, ignorance is strength, slavery is freedom, and lies are the truth. Well, we know the truth, and we will not rest until every drone is stopped and no more bombs are dropped. We will not rest until peace is won. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said there comes a time when we do what we must because our ultimate measure is not where we stand in moments of comfort and convenience, but where we stand at times of challenge and controversy. At this time of challenge, we are clear: we will not give up and we will not stop.”
There are many “movement” notables who, in fact, did try in the recent past to peddle a banker’s best friend as a man of the people, a proponent of “race-neutrality” as an ally of oppressed minorities, and an imperial invader and occupier as something resembling a man of peace. Hopefully, they will make up for past misconduct and bad judgment through prodigious feats of activist productivity, including plenty of shouting at the White House on Saturday [1].

Part IV: Brzezinski’s G2 Grand Strategy
Obama Politics of Change and US Policy on China
  By Henry C.K. Liu
Brzezinski made his proposal for a US-China G2 in a speech delivered during a conference in Beijing on January 13, 2009, a week before Obama was scheduled to be inaugurated as president, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the US and China. The conference was sponsored by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs and the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States, and co-sponsored by the National Committee on US-China Relations, with support from both the US Embassy in Beijing and the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Led by former president Jimmy Carter during whose administration diplomatic relations was established, the large US delegation included key figures such as former Republican Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, and former Republican and Democratic National Security Advisers Brent Snowcroft and Brzezinski, who were formally received by Chinese leaders President Hu Jintao, Vice President Xi Jinping and Premier Wen Jiabao...
Brzezinski is acknowledged as a key adviser to President Obama on foreign policies during and since the presidential election, while acting as foreign policy advisor to Hillary Clinton during the primaries. Many analysts consider Brzesinski as the spokesman for previously anti-Soviet, now anti-Russia hawk faction in the US foreign policy establishment. Brzezinski’s speech in Beijing was addressed to Washington through talking to Beijing. The message is for the US not to waste financial, political and military resources confronting a China destined to process enormous and rising economic, political and military strength and potentials that will surge further over time unstoppably. US national interests globally would be better served by a strategy of making friends with China by sharing power globally because eventually the US will need the support of the world’s most populous country to preserve and shore up its own global dominance. By contrast, conflicts with China will drain US capacity to maintain its global dominance.
Brzezinski’s statement aims at preserving US dominance in an existing world order that is facing fast and fundamental changes by drawing China into regions previously laid beyond a weak modern China’s sphere of influence. If adopted by the Obama administration, a likely possibility as US foreign policy of the past three decades reflects an increasing acceptance of a scenario of a future world described in Brzezinski’s 1997 book, written six years after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy And Its Geostrategic Imperatives: “A geostrategic issue of crucial importance is posed by China’s emergence as a major power.” (page 54) “China’s growing economic presence in the region [Central Asia] and its political stake in the area’s independence are also congruent with America’s interests.” (p.149) “Potentially, the most dangerous scenario [for the US] would be a grand coalition of China, Russia, and perhaps Iran, an ‘anti-hegemonic’ coalition united not by ideology but by complementary grievances.”
Brzezinski, the grand master of geopolitical chess, plots his strategy several moves ahead of the game. Geopolitical pluralism must first be promoted to defuse challenges to US superpower, followed by encouraging compatible key partners to cooperate under US leadership, and finally the pragmatic sharing of global geopolitical responsibility can be rewarded with a sharing of power. The twin poles of this strategy are a united Europe in the West and strong China in the East; with the problematic central regions stabilized within a new balance of power...China Not Likely to Play Brzezinski’s New Great Game... A G2 regime will inflict on China the side effects of rising anti-US sentiments from around the world at a time when US power is declining from self-inflicted wounds. ..Obama administration Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s overture of peace and cooperation to China is merely an emergency measure in response to a collapsed economy and exhaustion from undeclared foreign wars....

Mr. Guo, also a former judge, wrote a series of articles in 2007 and 2008 that discussed social problems in China. He also founded the New Democracy Party of China.

US Air Force Takes The Veil Off "Beast Of Kandahar"
‘Beast of Kandahar‘. The images of the unmanned drone appeared in the Internet sometimes ago. Before Tuesday, the Air Force kept it garbed in secrecy. It has been developed by eminent aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin and according to the US Air Force, the stealth aircraft is meant for giving surveillance support and reconnaissance to augment the ground forces. The Drone got the name ‘Beast Of Kandahar’ after its photographs got leaked. The photos showed the aircraft flying in the sky of southern Afghanistan. That was almost two years back. It is similar to the famous B-2 bomber in terms of looks. The state of the art stealth aircraft is a brain child of Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs, a facility that is involved in implementing top secret US defense projects...credited with making security marvels like the F-22 fighter jet,F-117 Nighthawk as well as U-2 spy plane. The presence of the drone in Afghanistan has prompted the war experts to question USA’s intention all the more closely...

American NGO Creative Associates International, Inc. Covers For CIA & Blackwater In Pakistan?
Ahmed Quraishi
Reports suggest Pakistan has expelled a US Blackwater mercenary, Pakistanis ask, ‘Who rules our streets, the Pakistani government or the Americans?’ And who let them in?
In May, a US diplomat was caught arranging a meeting between a suspected Indian spy and senior Pakistani officials in the privacy of her house. In June when Pakistani officials confronted Washington with evidence that terrorists in Pakistan were using sophisticated American weapons, US media quickly leaked stories about American weapons missing from the US-trained Afghan army. And now reports confirm that the dirty secret arm of the US government – the mercenaries of Blackwater – have infiltrated sensitive regions of Pakistan. Blackwater works as an extension of the US military and CIA, taking care of dirty jobs that the US government cannot associate itself with in faraway strategic places...

The American NGO that works for US government has almost half of its international vacancies in Pakistan. Its director in Peshawar has been found contacting anti-Pakistan elements in the Pak-Afghan border area. Its director in Peshawar has been found contacting anti-Pakistan elements in the Pak-Afghan border area. Three weeks ago a group of concerned Pakistani citizens in Peshawar wrote to the federal interior ministry to complain about the suspicious activities of a group of shadowy Americans in a rented house in their neighborhood, the upscale University Town area of Peshawar.
A NGO calling itself Creative Associates International, Inc. leased the house. CAII, as it is known by its acronym, is a Washington DC-based private firm. According to its Web site, the company describes itself as “a privately-owned non-governmental organization that addresses urgent challenges facing societies today … Creative views change as an opportunity to improve, transform and renew …” a cover for the American NGO’s real work: espionage....a humanitarian front that alternates sometimes for undercover US intelligence operations in critical regions, including Angola, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Gaza, and Pakistan. Of the 36 new job openings, the company’s Web site shows that half of them are in Pakistan today. Pakistan is also at the heart of the now combined desperate effort by the White House-military-CIA to avert a looming American defeat in Afghanistan by shifting the war to its next-door neighbor.

In Peshawar, CAII, opened an office to work on projects in the nearby tribal agencies of Pakistan. All of these projects, interestingly, are linked to the US government. CAII’s other projects outside Pakistan are also linked to the US government.... CAII told Pakistani authorities it needed to hire security guards for protection. The security guards, it turns out, were none other than Blackwater’s military-trained hired guns. They were used the CAII cover to conduct a range of covert activities in Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province.

The infamous Blackwater private security firm operates as an extension of the US military and CIA, taking care of dirty jobs that the US government cannot associate itself with in faraway strategic places. Blackwater is anything but a security firm. It is a mercenary army of several thousand hired soldiers.

Pakistani security officials apparently became alarmed by reports that Blackwater was operating from the office of CAII on Chinar Road, University Town in Peshawar. The man in charge of the office, allegedly an American by the name of Craig Davis according to a report in Jang, Pakistan’s largest Urdu language daily, was arrested and accused of establishing contacts with ‘the enemies of Pakistan’ in areas adjoining Afghanistan. His visa has been cancelled, the office sealed, and Mr. Davis reportedly expelled back to the United States.
Official Pakistani sources are yet to confirm if one or more US citizens were expelled recently. The government is reluctant making public whatever evidence there might be about Blackwater operations inside Pakistan. But it is clear that something unusual was happening in the Peshawar office of an American NGO. There is also strong suspicion that Blackwater was operating from the said office. There are other things happening in Pakistan that are linked to the Americans and that increase the chances of Blackwater’s presence here include [...]

"...The Obama administration authorized the US Army Corps of Engineers to design a vertical underground wall under the border between Egypt and Gaza..."
US Cutting Gaza Lifeline: making an American 'Impenetrable Underground Wall'
By Ann Wright
In March 2009 the United States provided the government of Egypt with $32 million for electronic surveillance and other security devices to prevent the movement of food, merchandise and weapons into Gaza. Now details are emerging ...the Obama administration authorized the US Army Corps of Engineers to design a vertical underground wall under the border between Egypt and Gaza 6-7 miles long to extend 55 feet straight down into the desert sand... made of super-strength steel put together in a jigsaw puzzle fashion. It will be bomb proof and can not be cut or melted. It will be "impenetrable," and reportedly will take 18 months to construct. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8405020.stm)
The steel wall is intended to cut the tunnels that go between Gaza and Egypt. The tunnels are the lifelines for Gaza since the international... blockade of Gaza to collectively punish the citizens of Gaza for having elected Hamas became government of Gaza. The United States and other western countries have placed Hamas on the list of terrorist organizations. The underground steel wall is intended to strengthen international governmental efforts to imprison and starve the people of Gaza into submission so they will throw out the Hamas government.
Just as the steel walls of the US Army Corps of Engineers at the base of the levees of New Orleans were unable to contain Hurricane Katrina, the US Army Corps of Engineers' underground steel walls that will attempt to build an underground cage of Gaza will not be able to contain the survival spirit of the people of Gaza. Just as American smart bombs in Afghanistan and Iraq have not conquered the spirit of Aghans and Iraqis, America's underground walls in Gaza will never conquer the courage of those who are fighting for the survival of their families... America's super technology will again be laughed at by the world...
Ann Wright is a retired US Army Reserve Colonel and a former U.S. diplomat who resigned in March, 2003 in opposition to the war on Iraq. "...Gaza is a territory being controlled by terrorists [ed: referring to Hamas, winner of 2007 election] and should not be visited by foreign ministers or any high-ranking dignitaries...This could only provide legitimacy for a terrorist group who would doubtlessly manipulate the presence of the foreign leader to gain internal and foreign legitimacy"... http://snipurl.com/tm5zx

Guantanamo "Suicides" democratizing the world's uncivilized become westernized pro-amerikan subjects
Glen Greenwald, Salon
June 10, 2006 three Guantanamo detainees were found dead in their individual cells.  Without any autopsy or investigation, U.S. military officials proclaimed "suicide by hanging" as the cause of each death, and immediately sought to exploit the episode as proof of the evil of the detainees.  Admiral Harry Harris, the camp's commander, said it showed "they have no regard for life" and that the suicides were "not an act of desperation, but an act of asymmetric warfare aimed at us here at Guantanamo"; another official anonymously said the suicides showed the victims were "committed jihadists [who] will do anything they can to advance their cause," while another sneered that "it was a good PR move to draw attention."... To allay the questions that quickly emerged the military announced it would conduct a sweeping investigation and publicly release its finding... more than two years later -- in August, 2008 -- it released a heavily redacted reported purporting to confirm suicide by hanging as the cause.  Two of the three dead detainees were Saudis and one was Yemeni; they had been detained for years without charges; one of them was 17 years old at the time he was detained and 22 when he died; and they had participated in several of the hunger strikes at the camp to protest the brutality, torture and abuse to which they were routinely subjected. Perversely, one of the three victims had been cleared for release earlier that month. A major 54-page, heavily-documented, report from Seton Hall University School of Law released this morning raises serious doubts about both the military's version of events and the reliability of its investigation...

Study faults Guantanamo death probe
The Seton Hall University report found the US military investigation events surrounding the deaths of Yassat Talaal al Zahrani, Mani Shaman al Habardi al Tabi, and Ali Abdullah Ahmed "failed to conform to minimum standards"...The military says that the men braided nooses for themselves, tied their hands and feet together, climbed onto their sink in their cells, and hung themselves. The three bodies reportedly hung in their cells for two hours before being discovered, despite the cells being under video and guard supervision. When they were found, each man was also discovered to have "a rag obstructing his throat", the study says. Researchers from the US university ploughed through thousands of pages of documents, but they were so heavily redacted by government censors that it was impossible to build a clear account of what happened ...

Sir John Sawers, the recently appointed head of MI6 but then a close adviser to Tony Blair, made it clear that the decisions to disband the Iraqi army and dismiss thousands of members of Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath party were taken by the US alone... decisions were taken by Paul Bremer, US head of the Coalition Provisional Authority, on the basis of "pre-agreed Washington policy", Sawers said. ...another problem he said was that the Ba'athist regime had never surrendered. "Iraq became a honeypot for anybody who wanted to have a crack at the Americans in particular," he added, saying that the campaign to defeat Iraq "was only ever half consummated … The army melted away".... Blair took the view when Bush became president early in 2001 that "it was very important for the UK as a nation our prime minister had a close working relationship with the US"...Iraq was one of a number of countries where Britain would have liked regime change, and discussions took place in 2001 – two years before the invasion – on "political" actions to undermine the regime. There was no talk at that stage in Whitehall of military action, he said, the approach adopted was based on the methods that led to the ousting of Slobodan Milosevic in Serbia in 2000. Among the proposals were support for opposition groups and indicting Saddam for war crimes... http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/dec/10/chilcot-iraq-inquiry-us-britain

hard & soft imperialist power: two arms of the same bipartisan USraeli global domination agenda

by Mark P. Fancher
The U.S. military’s AFRICOM forces pretend their mission on the continent is humanitarian. In reality, AFRICOM is the sharp edge of U.S. imperialism, a killing force eager to impose American dominance. The military command “locks Africa into a state of dependency and maintains favorable political and social conditions for U.S.-based corporations that exploit Africa’s natural resources.”... The U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) deploys U.S. military personnel to advise and support African soldiers in missions designed to advance U.S. strategic and economic interests in Africa. But it also implements a not-so-subtle propaganda campaign to win the hearts and minds of Africans and the grudging support of a broader public that correctly suspects that AFRICOM is a Trojan horse for imperialism.
By design AFRICOM downplays its military projects and instead presents itself as a Peace Corps type operation. However, missing from that version of its public face is the practice that makes it most like the 1961 version of the Peace Corps. That is, that AFRICOM is committed to the indoctrination of Africa’s people. It implements its program in a way that is far more sophisticated than any method contemplated when politicians hoped to use the Peace Corps to fight the “communist menace.”
“The plan to use the Peace Corps as a Cold War propaganda tool was explained by John F. Kennedy himself.”
Specifically, AFRICOM’s International Military Education and Training program is a vehicle not only for selling African leaders on the value of cooperating with the U.S. militarily, but also for exposing them to “the U.S. way of life.” An AFRICOM fact sheet on the program states that graduates “fill key leadership positions in militaries of many African nations.”
“AFRICOM is committed to the indoctrination of Africa’s people.”
Even the smallest, poorest African countries have a right to self-determination that is firmly grounded in international law. However, when AFRICOM drags future African leaders into a room to brainwash them into believing that U.S. strategic and economic interests are helpful to Africa’s development needs, it does not promote African independence, self-sufficiency and self-determination. Rather, it locks Africa into a state of dependency and maintains favorable political and social conditions for U.S.-based corporations that exploit Africa’s natural resources.
Although it is shameful that some Peace Corps volunteers were instructed to politically indoctrinate struggling, poverty-stricken villagers, it was probably a whole lot easier for a villager to tell a sandal-wearing Peace Corps volunteer to “go to Hell” than it is to give that same advice these days to a steely-eyed, square-jawed, gun-toting, U.S. military commander. AFRICOM ain’t the Peace Corps. Regardless of whether Peace Corps volunteers were aware that their benevolent impulses were being politically exploited, some leaders of underdeveloped countries knew exactly what was going on, and they did not take kindly to U.S. attempts to gain a Cold War advantage at the expense of impoverished nations. Irritation escalated to rage when some leaders began to suspect that the Peace Corps was a cover for intelligence operations. In 1965, Ghana’s then-president Kwame Nkrumah wrote: “[Sargent] Shriver’s record makes a mockery of President Kennedy’s alleged instruction to Shriver to ‘keep the CIA out of the Peace Corps.’...Since its creation in 1961, members of the Peace Corps have been exposed and expelled from many African, Middle Eastern and Asian countries for acts of subversion or prejudice.”

U.S. Africom's "Lily Pads"
Belgian Paratroopers to Crush Rising Congo Rebellion?
by keith harmon snow
“Brussels, Kinshasa and MONUC plan to dress Belgian paratroopers as ‘peacekeepers’ to be deployed out of Kisangani as MONUC ‘Blue Helmets.'”
Rwandan Defense Forces are flown into the western Congo, to shore up another challenge to the regime in Kinshasa. President Kabila is under siege on multiple fronts. United Nations forces secretly intervene on side of Kabila and his Rwandan allies. The ten million death toll, rises....
Congolese people everywhere were outraged by the eastern Congo FARDC military operations with RDF and UPDF forces early in 2009, but Kabila and partners heaped one insult on top of another by airlifting RDF across Congo to the far western Equateur to attempt to crush the Dongo resistance. MONUC and AFRICOM supported the RDF airlift operations.
The Kabila government has reportedly agreed to base AFRICOM out of the remote east-central Congo River city of Kisangani, also the site of a secret U.S. military-intelligence “fusion cell” linking Uganda, Rwanda, Congo-K in a tripartite cooperation agreement focused on minerals and mining. The details of the “base” are unknown, but Kisangani will likely be one of AFRICOM’s many “lily-pad” bases.
AFRICOM currently has cooperative security location agreements, commonly known as “lily pad” operating agreements with a dozen African nations stretching from Algeria on the Mediterranean to Zambia and Botswana in southern Africa. The U.S. Seventeenth Air Force’s contingency and crisis planning and response team had already visited four African nations through April 2009 to carry out airfield surveys, with plans to visit seven more nations by September 30...
In May 2009, Brigadier General Mike Callan, vice commander of the new AFRICOM Air Forces AFRICA (U.S. Seventeenth Air Force), met with RDF Chief James Kabarebe—an internationally indicted war criminal—and Rwandan Air Force commanders in Kigali for talks on turning tiny Rwanda into central and east Africa’s leading “air hub” for both military and civilian air traffic....This article, with all photography by Mr. Snow, appeared on his web site, allthingspass.com.

Obama security adviser: Picture on Iran not good:
The clock is ticking toward the end of the year, Jones said during an appearance on CNN's State of the Union. That is the deadline Obama gave with regard to when it would be clear if Iran was ready to work with the United States, other United Nations Security Council members and Germany to assure the world it was not trying to build a nuclear weapon.

NB: US soft power led regime changers attempt to link their project to anti-U.S. imperialist Shah movement to disguise 'opposition's' pro-U.S. program. US/world news dutifully regurgitates its claims but Mon. eve. world news initially slipped saying Iranian police fought back against the students: US/Soros -based 'social networks' sources quickly reversed the 'misspeak' Amerikan zombies have no problem with violent repression, torture, 'preventive' wars, racist witchhunts and criminal injustice by U.S. and its gangster friends, so Obama, with a straight face, can lecture Iran and the rest of the world it will destroy if it cannot reign over it for U.S. capitalism's power & profit.

Iranian-American Scholar Sentenced in Iran
By Robert Mackey
Kian Tajbakhsh, an Iranian-American social scientist/sociologist and urban planner, has been convicted of fomenting unrest against the government and sentenced to more than 12 years in prison. The Intelligence Ministry has been keen to point out that the Wilson Center receives U.S. government money, as well as money from the Open Society Institute, the New York-based foundation begun by the financier George Soros. On May 22, the ministry announced that O.S.I. had “played key roles in intrigues that have led to color revolutions in former Soviet republics in recent years” and now aimed to overthrow Iran’s government as well...The Iranian Web site Zamaaneh reported that the indictment against Mr. Tajbakhsh charged him with “propaganda activities” and acting against national security by working with the Open Society Institute supported by George Soros.... elements of the Iranian government have accused Mr. Soros, who finances democracy-building programs in many countries, of plotting to overthrow Iran’s Islamic system of government in what the authorities call a “velvet revolution.”
Washington has denounced Tajbaksh's arrest. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton appealed in August for Tajbakhsh's release, and he was specially named in a call by the British rock star Sting to free all political prisoners in Iran. In 2007, Tajbakhsh, a social scientist and urban planner, spent four months in prison on charges of endangering national security. He denied the charges at the time, and has also denied the post-election allegations against him.... AP http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5ixeFBxfLzaSjs8Mb8cuFmt...
