Burbank police made more than a dozen arrests during the week of February 16 through February 22, with DUI stops, drug possession charges, and outstanding warrants driving most of the activity across the city.

All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The week’s most serious driving arrest came late Saturday night when Kristofer Gonzalez Sobe Ranis, a Panorama City resident, was taken into custody at 345 East Santa Anita Ave. at 11:52 p.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence. A Burbank resident identified as Hudson Long faced a more serious version of the same charge. Long was arrested at 10:19 p.m. on suspicion of DUI with injuries. No further details about the injury circumstances were available in the public log.

Early Sunday morning, Dennis Serge Berezniak, a Winnetka resident, was stopped at Glenoaks Boulevard and Amherst Drive at 4:49 a.m. and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage or drug.

Drug-related arrests appeared across several days and locations. Shaman Alain Bell Doucet, a Los Angeles resident, was arrested at Victory Place and Burbank Boulevard at 3:20 p.m. on suspicion of possessing Xanax and methamphetamines. Jesus Santiago Ortega Jr., a Pasadena resident, was picked up at 631 East Cedar Ave. at 2:00 p.m. on suspicion of drug paraphernalia possession, hard drug possession, and on outstanding warrants.

At Clybourn Avenue and Chermak Street at 4:36 a.m., officers arrested two people. Christal Gail Denley was taken into custody on suspicion of drug paraphernalia possession. John Negoescu, a Loma Linda resident, was arrested at the same location and time on suspicion of drug paraphernalia possession and illegal possession of tear gas.

Warrant-related arrests added to the week’s count. Jose Miguel Gomez was arrested at Burbank Boulevard and San Fernando Boulevard at 7:15 p.m. on an outstanding warrant. Pedro Perez, a Los Angeles resident, was arrested at 201 North Front St. at 10:49 a.m. on suspicion of disorderly conduct and on a warrant.

Two disorderly conduct arrests rounded out the public order incidents. Carmen Gail Cosio, a Burbank resident, was apprehended at Glenoaks Boulevard and San Jose Avenue at 9:20 p.m. Perez, noted above, faced the same charge at his North Front Street arrest earlier that day.

A battery arrest also appeared in the weekly log. Edward Brantly, a North Hollywood resident, was taken into custody at 6:20 p.m. on suspicion of battery. The log did not specify a location for that arrest.

The Burbank Police Department publishes arrest logs as a matter of public record. Arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Cases are subject to review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office before charges are formally filed.
